  • PDF

Klipsch announces a modern acoustic and cosmetic update for the Klipschorn, the venerable speaker developed back in 1946 by audio pioneer and company founder Paul W. Klipsch.

KlipschornAccording to the company, the Klipschorn is the only speaker in the world to be in continuous production for over 70 years, and it has remained relatively unchanged since inception. The new Klipschorn AK6 it features a fully enclosed low frequency horn cabinet, with the enclosure functioning as a corner. A 1-inch titanium tweeter and a 90° x 40° Tractrix horn extend the output of high frequencies beyond 20kHz, and the passive network features AudioQuest internal wiring.

Each Klipschorn features real wood, with finish options including natural cherry, satin black ash and American ash. The loudspeakers are grain-matched using wood veneer panels from the same timber, resulting in a speaker pair indistinguishable from the other. Finishing off the speaker are a retro-style silver luster grille cloth and a zinc logo.

The Klipschorn AK6 speakers are available now.
