Leon Speakers continues a collaboration with Sonos at CEDIA Expo 2018 with a line of products pairing with the Sonos Amp-- the Aura Sound Sculpture, Aura Tile and Horizon Ledge.
The Sonos Amp-powered Aura Sound Sculpture features curved black and white Baltic Birch panels with integrated LED lighting interspersed between audio channels, creating a one-of-a-kind piece installers can integrate into any Sonos system.
Meanwhile each modular Aura Tile contains 2 channels of audio and local power from the Sonos Amp. A perforated metal grille with limited edition, screen printed art covers the piece, bringing enhanced sound and signature Leon style to Sonos.
The result of a Huawei-Amazon collaboration presented at IFA 2018, the AI Cube runs on Alexa and promises a more convenient way to both connect to the internet and control smart devices. A slot for an LTE SIM card makes it a 4G hot spot, while an ethernet port allows use as an 802.11ac wifi router. The router is dual-band, working on the 2.4 and 5GHz bands, and transmits data over LAN at up to 1200Mbps.
The Momentum True Wireless earbuds carry Sennheiser 7mm dynamic drivers for superior stereo sound, with a Transparent Hearing feature allowing users to listen to ambient sounds or conversations without need to remove the earbuds. Wireless connectivity comes through Bluetooth with aptX compatibility and AAC codec support.
The Zipp 2 and Zipp Mini 2 feature the same cylindrical form factor as the first versions, including the colourful textured tops users can unzip and swap (explaining the name). The tops come complete with a leather loop, allowing for easy hanging from an umbrella or tree branch, while the round design provides 360-degree audio.
The Citation 500 comes in a fabric-covered design reminiscent of the Google Home speaker line. The top carries an LCD touchpanel providing playback controls, although of course one can control the speaker via voice. In addition, customers can pair the Citation 500 with smartphones to add another audio source.
