Sony Projects a "New Viewing Experience"

4K Sony ProjectorSony dreams of turning living room walls into large-as-life "entertainment windows" with the the 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector, a self-descriptive number able to project up to 147-inch images from very close distances.

Seen in prototype form at CES 2014, the projector apparently only requires putting it "right next to a wall that would not yield any shadows of people into a screen" when it comes to setup. It even carries a pair of built-in speakers, and hides all components in a stylish console-style cabinet.

A Projector in a Cube
