CEDIA Region 1 announces the critical dates of its annual custom installation industry "Oscars", the 2013 CEDIA Awards.
The deadline for entries is 22 March 2013, and the winners will be revealed at a black-tie awards ceremony on June.
The awards also get two new categories-- the CEDIA Special Recognition (presented to an individual who made a "valued contribution" to the industry) and a Best Showroom.
As a result the total number of CEDIA Award categories is now up to 18.

- Best media room under €18000
- Best media room over €18000
- Best home cinema under €48000
- Best home cinema from €48000-120000
- Best home cinema over €120000
- Best integrated home under €36000
- Best integrated home €36000-120000
- Best integrated home from €120000-290000
- Best Integrated Home over €290000
- Best Integrated Energy Management Solution
- Best multiple scheme for a property developer
- Best dressed rack
- Best innovative solution – residential
- Best marine installation
- Best trade supplier
- Best training Initiative by a trade supplier
- Special Recognition Award
- Best Showroom
