Back in November 2012 YouTube mobile apps got an update allowing easy pairing of Android devices with Google TV STBs, Apple Airplay-style. Now Google extends such wireless pairing to "smart" TVs at CES 2013.
Initially available on Google-friendly Sony, LG, Panasonic and Bang & Olufsen TVs, the feature will eventually roll out to devices from other vendors such as Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba and Western Digital.
The update also includes the latest YouTube on TV look and feel, with 1080p videos and a slick UI.
