Krell Intros Connect Streamer

Krell launches a high-end audio streamer at CES 2013-- the Connect, able to handle all all files (from FLAC and WAV to MP3 and WMA) with 192kHz/24-bit audio.

Krell Connect Available in 2 versions, the Connect is either digital-only (with coax and Toslink optical outputs) or with a built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC) module.

Krell says the DAC version has a 32-bit Sabre chipset with discrete direct-coupled analog circuitry pipes sound via RCA or balanced audio outputs.

Both versions include a built-in 3.5-inch QVGA LCD screen and offer control via iOS and Android apps.

A second CES 2013 offering from Krell is the Foundation 7.1 processor-- with lossless audio format support, digital switching, 3D pass-through and x10 HDMI 1.4a, x5 analog (x4 unbalanced, x1 balanced) and x6 digital (x3 Toslink, x3 Coax) inputs.

Analog video comes through x3 component and x3 composite inputs.

Both Connect streamer and Foundation processor will be available from Q1 2013.
