Samsung shows off a troupe of TVs great and small(er) at IFA 2013-- including the UHD/4K F9000 series TVs first seen at CES 2013 and combinations of OLED and UHD technology.

Samsung IFA TVThe F9000 UHD TVs seen at IFA come in 55-, 65-, 85- and, most monstrous of all, 98- and 110-inch sizes, the biggest in the world according to the company. All feature narrow bezels, metal stands and a metallic finish, with a minimalist design hiding a 70W sound system.

Addressing concerns on the lack of high resolution content, Samsung says is currently in talks with Eutelsat and TF1.

Meanwhile UHD OLED TVs come in two varieties-- regular flat panel and curvy, another first from the company.

"We introduced the world's first "Curved UHD TV" at IFA 2013 to meet various consumer expectations waiting for next new generation TV technology," Samsung EVP Hyun-suk Kim says. "This will be a milestone opening a new era of next generation TV by invigorating UHD TV. Realising curved UHD TV is more difficult to produce than curved OLED TV due to the panel characteristics."

The Curved OLED UHD TV is currently just a prototype, and will only hit the market depending on consumer response and market demand.

And finally, also seen at IFA are a pair of non-OLED Curved UHD TVs, in 55- and 65-inch sizes. The company does not specify the type of panel within (we assume LED), but both offer slim industrial design and impressive picture quality.
