  • PDF

Aragon and Acurus owner Indie Audio Labs unveils Aries at CEDIA Expo 2013-- a 2.1 integrated amplifier addition to the Acurus lineup designed for integration with home automation systems via ethernet, RS-232 or 12V trigger.

Acurus AriesA precision-machined aluminium front panel features a colour 4.3-inch touchscreen for all necessary user adjustments and feedback. The package includes a simple IR remote, although one can control the amp through iOS or Android mobile devices and a home network connection.

Inputs and outputs include a pair of 60-Amp speaker binding posts, balanced XLR inputs and four sets of unbalanced RCA inputs. A line-level 2.1 input supports down mixed TV audio, computer interface and/or game system audio, while a 2.1 output drives sub-sat speaker configurations with either internal or external amplification.

A rear panel option card slot supports customised features, included DAC, USB and future I/O upgrades.

The Aries should start shipping from December 2013.
