Savant Systems starts shipping the SmartLink matrix switch and the SmartAudio SSA-3220 distributed audio solution-- a pair of products first revealed back at CEDIA Expo 2013.
The SmartLink switch is available in 3 versions, each with 8 HDMI inputs and 8 S/PDIF audio-only outputs and a choice of 4, 6 or 8 HDBase T 5Play or HDMI outputs-- in other words enoough control ports for easy audio and video source management.
All 3 switchers are designed for control via TrueControl iDevice apps, while an open control protocol provides the flexibility to upgrade customers to a Savant video switch regardless of existing control environment.
Meanwhile the SmartAudio SSA3220 32x20 is a distributed audio solution inside a compact 2U rack-mountable design. It carries 16 analog and 16 digital selectable inputs, as well as 20 outputs (16 analog plus 4 S/PDIF) for passing analog line-level audio to external amplifiers.
Both analog and digital audio conversion capabilities are standards, and oth analog and digital audio is available simultaneously on each output for maximum flexibility.
The SSA-3220 incorporates control of volume, balance and 7-band EQ per zone of analog and digital audio.
