Pakedge Device & Software launches the S8Wpde, an 8-port gigabit switch one with power via either PoE or AC to allow seamless use in both new and old buildings.
The switch features plug-and-play to run without need for any software installations and is compliant with all network protocols. It takes just a portion of 1U on a wiring rack, and includes a flange-mount bracket for easier installation than traditional cradle-type brackets.
Compact metal housing allows maximum durability and easy placement on flat surfaces, media panels or wall mounts, with no fan required.
Further installation-friendly features include automatic network speed adjustment and duplex mode with connected devices, with ports running at 10, 100 and 100Mbps.
Auto MDI/MDI-X functionality and 9K jumbo frame support provide better network performance via simultaneous data-sending. For larger installations one can also connect each port to another switch or hub with no crossover RJ-45 cables required.
The S8Wpde is available now with AC power adapter.
