Sonos launches an innovative in-wall sub solution-- the Discreet Opening System (DOS), an addition to the company's Architectural Series promising to exactly match the footprint of small ceiling aperture lights.
The DOS uses four or more carbon fibre AS38RS Satellite Speakers and the BPS6RS Bandpass subwoofer, which features a carbon fibre high excursion voice coil and a Rohacell driver for deep and impactful bass response.
Installation comes using patented Mounting Platforms featuring trade-familiar installation processes to ensure precision results. Drywall and plaster Mounting Platforms are installed as part of the ceiling, and finished with the surrounding surface, while precision engineering ensures a perfectly flush reveal to accommodate speaker grilles.
Meanwhile solid surface Mounting Platforms deliver a repeatable result in tongue-in-groove, wood panelling and stone. The adjustable design provides flexibility to handle a variety of material thicknesses, and the engineered installation process ensures a professional finish.
