Crestron starts shipping the TSR-302, a handheld remote featuring a 2.8-inch capacitative touchscreen, a matte finish and soft-touch backlit buttons, ideal for use around the home.
“We tested hundreds of layouts and configurations to come up with the perfect design, and we built it to withstand heavy use and getting tossed around the room constantly," the company says. "This is by far our most beautiful and rugged remote ever.”
It uses 2.4GHz RF wireless technology and Crestron Instant-Waking technology to ensure connectivity and reliable performance, while a built-in mic and speakers allow RAVA intercom communications and custom voice commands such as "all off" or "movie night."
Smart Graphics allows installers to program dynamic UIs tailored to customer needs, complete with gesture-based controls, kinetic effects, animated feedback and streaming video.
Charging comes through an included inductive charging dock, with extra-long life lithium polymer batteries delivering "hundreds" of charging cycles.
