According to BenQ the eVolo is the first portable speaker using electrostatic technology to reproduce sound, with a stylish design featuring foldable metal side wings and bi-directional sound.
It streams CD-quality audio via aptX and Bluetooth, and BenQ says performance is "particularly well refined" in the medium- and high-pitch sound range. The speaker's thin-film diaphragm projects bidirectional sound, radiating a high level of audio detail from every angle.
Customers can also use the eVolo as a speakerphone, and the built-in battery provides up to 12 hours of playtime on a single charge.
The eVolo will be available globally from November 2014.
