Monitor Audio adds to the Airstream wireless speaker lineup with the S200-- a compact wifi-capable speaker designed for stereo and multiform use in conjunction with NAS, PC or streaming audio sources.
It is compatible with Monitor Audio's proprietary Airstream Direct technology, as well as Apple Airplay, Bluetooth aptX and DLNA, and features a USB port and 3.5mm stereo jack. Audio file support includes AAC, ALAC, MP3 and FLAC.
The actual speaker carries 4 drivers configured in an angled cluster-- a proprietary gold dome C-CAM tweeter, dual 3-inch CAM metal cone bass drivers and a rear-firing auxiliary bass radiator. Three separate DSP-optimised digital amplifiers power the C-CAM drivers, with the bass drivers receiving 2 x 25W and the tweeter 15W.
Frequency response is at 80Hz - 25kHz, and the casing is in mineral-filled polymer.
The S200 is self, table-top or wall mountable via optional MASM (MA Speaker Mount) UNC mounting kits, and available in either black or white as finished with toughed glass end trims.
