Logitech's Ultimate Ears launches a larger version of the Boom portable Bluetooth speaker-- the self-explanatory Megaboom, a speaker featuring an enlarged version of the same cylindrical, waterproof design.
Like the regular Boom the Megaboom pushes 360-degree sound, if with deeper bass and even louder sound. It measures 208mm and weighs 762g, whereas the first model measures 180mm and weighs 538g.
The company also says the battery lasts 20 hours on a single charge, while Bluetooth range totals around 30m. Customers can also pair two Megaboom (or a Megaboom with a Boom) for "twice the beats." Free Android and iOS apps provide further functionality, such as remote on/off, alarm, customisable sound and over-the-air updates.
The Megaboom should be available in European markets from January 2015.
