Vivitek announces a pair of 1080p home theatre projectors-- the H1186 and the H1188, both powered by a Texas Instruments DLP Dark Chip3 and featuring 2000 ANSI lumens brightness and 50000:1 contrast ratio.

The H1188 includes what Vivitek calls VividMotion, an image-smoothing technology eliminating jitter and glitches during fast panning movements. In addition the two projectors carry a 6-segment RGBRGB colour wheel and MHL connectivity for easy streaming of content from smartphones and tablets.

On the installation front Vivtek ads a vertical lens shift, an ISF mode for both day and night calibration and connectivity options including two HDMI 1.4 inputs, VGA, S-Video, component and composite video, 3D Sync, RS-232 and 12V trigger.

Lamp life clocks to around 7000 hours (H1186 only) in dynamic eco mode, with a top-sided lamp cover allowing for easy replacement.
