Pakedge Intros WK-1 Router

Pakedge launches the WK-1-- an enterprise-grade wireless access point with a built-in 2x2 radio the company claims pushes three times more speed and throughput than wireless-N access points.

Pakedge WK-1It features polycarbonate housing and internal antennae, with an industrial design one can blend into any installation. Customers can also paint it to blend it further in almost any architecture environment.

Power comes through PoE+, and a high signal-to-noise ratio promises a clear signal from anywhere, making it ideal for installation (via included brackets) in hard to reach places. Setup comes through a redesigned GUI Packedge says is intuitive and easy to use.

Being Connect+ certified the WK-1 leverages on other Pakedge devices on the network (such as the C-36 wireless controller) to optimise networking. It also connects to the BakPak Cloud Management System to provide cloud-based device monitoring and management.

The WK-1 is also part of the Pakedge Custom Engineering program-- meaning installers can order personalised versions with custom firmware and own  co-branding on the UI and serial number label.
