Optoma launches an upgrade of the low-cost HD27 home entertainment projector-- the HD27e, featuring an increase in brightness as well as quieter performance at 25dB.
The HD27e projects 1920 x 1080 images with native 16:9 aspect ratio, full Rec. 709 colour via RGBRGB colour wheel, 1.47:1 throw ratio and 25000:1 contrast ratio. It is 3D-compatible, and maximum brightness clocks at 3400 lumens. Audio comes through integrated 10W speaker.
Connectivity comes through x2 HDMI 1.4a inputs (x1 with MHL support) and USB-A power port allowing self-contained use of an HDMI dongle such as an Amazon Fire or Chromecast. Audio output via 3.5mm audio out allows connection to an external sound system, and a 12V trigger is included.
The HD27e weighs just 3kg, and is available now.
