Optoma Intros UHD51 4K DLP Projector

  • PDF

Optoma announces a lower-cost 4K projector option-- the UHD51, a single chip DLP projector featuring Texas Instruments XPR technology aimed for use as a UHD home theatre display.

Optoma UHD51The UHD51 is interesting since it is the first in the Optoma 4K range to support full 3D, something absent from all 4K TVs in the market. It is also HDR compatible, and features connectivity through x2 HDMIs (one 4K HDCP 2.2 capable) and a USB power port for streaming from an HDMI dongle.

The company says the colour gamut covers 100% of Rec. 709 in reference mode, while Optoma Amazing Colour image processing offers an enhanced colour wheel and image presets. Also included is PureMotion frame interpolation processing to reduce image judder and motion blur in movies and sports. On the audio side a sound system comes built-in.

Installation options come through basic vertical lens shift. The projector has a 1.3x zoom with a 1:21-1:59:1 throw ratio, together with 2400 lumens maximum brightness. A 12V trigger allows for integrated screen and AV system control.
