Marantz NR1509The two slimline AVRs have a similar feature set, with support for ALAC, FLAC and WAV lossless audio files up to 24-bit/192kHz, as well as DSD 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz formats. Video passthrough includes 4K and HDR in HDR10, Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), while wireless connectivity comes through Bluetooth, AirPlay and Denon HEOS.

Installer-friendly additions include IP control, Control 4 SDDP, web UI, Works with Domotz Pro and Ihiji Invision for remote room monitoring and management. Built-in Audyssey MultEQ automatic room calibration makes for easy setup.

The NR1609 is the flagship model, with a 7-channel Dolby Atmos design rated at 50W per channel (into 8Ohm). It offers x8 HDMI inputs, all with HDCP 2.2 support. Meanwhile the NR1509 is a 5.1 model with x6 HDMI inputs. Interestingly, the two AVRs feature a phono input, allowing customers to connect a turntable.
