Atlona announces the AT-HDVS-SC-RX-- a 4K HDBaseT receiver and scaler featuring CrystalScale Technology (ACT) for high-quality downscaling and upscaling, as well as advanced image optimisation capabilities.
The HDVS-SC-RX supports a local HDMI source as well as an HDBaseT input for receiving video, audio and ethernet over CAT cable. Automatic input selection allows the receiver/scaler to switch without manual intervention in case a new source is detection. Other features include audio de-embedding, TCP/IP and RS232 scaler and display control, contact closure ports for controlling a motorised screen or display lift, and the ability to power remote transmitters via PoE.
Meanwhile CrystalScale video processing technology claims to scale all 4K/UHD and 1080p signals to match the resolution of the target display device, with gamma and uniformity correction providing means to fine-tune or enhance video for the specfic destination device and compensate for the perceptual colour issues of certain LED or LCD displays. Additional processing functions include motion-adaptive video de-interlacing, 3:2 pull-down, aspect ratio control and internal test pattern generation.
Installers can remotely configure, manage and monitor the HDVS-SC-RX over LAN, WAN or internet via Atlona Management System (AMS 2.0) network software platform, and integrate it with the Atlona IP-based Velocity AV control platform.
