ISE 2019 has Crestron announce a pair of security partnerships-- one with IP intercom provider 2N, the other with ekey biometric systems, a leading vendor of fingerprint access solutions.

Crestron security ise 2019The latest firmware update to 2N IP-based video intercom door station adds compliance with Crestron Rava SIP intercom phone technology, allowing integration with Crestron TSW-x60 series touchscreens. It also allows for seamless integration with 3rd party electron door locks. Meanwhile the sleek wall-mounted ekey finger scanners integrate with Crestron 3-series control systems for convenient one-touch door entry and enhanced security.

For Crestron touchscreens deployed with Pyng OS 2, the latest 2N firmware update instantly recognises 2N video intercom door stations, allowing deployment without need for complex programming. A custom programming option is also available for deployment of more advanced functionality. Key features include support for all 2N IP models, Quick Actions, intercom-integrated access control, video monitoring on up to 16 touchscreens in the home, two-way intercom call, mute while on call, wide-angle colour camera with CCTV link and access via 2N mobile app.

As mentioned earlier, ekey products are compatible with Crestron 3-series control systems with a RS485 COM port and SIMPL Windows software. They provide a secure and simple alternative to conventional entry access, leveraging biometric processes for added reliability. Intelligent software even detects the growth of children's' fingers, minor injuries and habit changes. The system also eliminates hackable 4-digit codes and the possibility of key or access card forgery.
