"Luxury" voice control provider Josh.ai launches a partnership with Home Connect, the ecosystem connecting home appliances from the likes of Bosch and Thermador to the Internet of Things.

The first result of the partnership is support for automatic coffee machines with Home Connect, an integration the two company says illustrates a commitment to luxury home automation. It allows users to simply ask Josh for a beverage of choice through natural language. Requests can be as simple as "Ok Josh, make some coffee," to as complex as "Ok Josh, brew a strong large espresso macchiato."

Josh.ai users will be able to control Home Connect devices in any accessible property by authorising their Home Connect account within the Josh platform. Setup promises to be easy for the installer, and Josh.ai will auto-discover Home Connect-enabled devices once connected to the network, before populating them in the Josh.ai environment.
