Environmental monitoring solution provider Sencentric announces what it claims is the most feature-rich wifi sensor for detecting water leaks and freeze conditions-- the SimpleSENCE leak and freeze detector.

According to the company, the SimpleSENCE leak detector is the first line of defense for in-home leak and freeze protection. It is a standalone and self-contained sensor able to operate via wifi, connecting directly to a router without need for a smart home hub or additional subscription. The small design allows optimal placement in any leak prone area, and setup promises to be easy via companion app.

Customer get a choice of text or email (or both) smartphone alerts in case leaks or freezing are detected. In addition, the SimpleSENCE has a loud onboard siren to alert anyone in the house when the smartphone is not close by, not to mention whenever the wifi connection is down. Sencentric says the built-in battery lasts for up to 2 years, and it is paired with a 2-year guarantee.
