British cable maker The Chord Company announces the Epic USB digital audio interconnect-- a hand-built cable engineered to provide a pure signal to a range of USB DACs, music streamers and digital source components.
Designed to bridge the gap between the Shawline and Signature ranges, the Epic cable carries technology from the recently developed (up-range) Signature Super ARAY USB. The company says performance of the Epic cable is only fractionally behind the original Signature USB, and as such promises a level usually found in more expensive models. 4
The cable is UK-made and uses ultra-low-resistance silver-plated copper Ohmic connectors, common to the Signature Super ARAY range, to connect the signal-runs of shielded, silver-plated copper conductors. Tuned ARAY technology further maximises performance and sonic accuracy.
