Denon announces a pair of hifi separates ahead of CEDIA Expo 2019-- the PMA-600NE amplifier with Bluetooth and the DCD-600NE CD player, a cosmetic match for customers building or upgrading a 2-channel sound system.

The PMA-600NE integrated amplifier features Denon Advanced High Current (AHC) single push-pull circuit power amplification technology, and delivers up to 70W of power-per-channel (4 ohm, 1kHz, THC 0.7%, two-channel). Similar to the Denon 800 and 1600 series components, it also includes a 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analog converter for improving the sound quality of CDs, records and streaming files.

Denon says each component is carefully selected, while the amplifier circuit secures a frequency response of up to 100kHz. The main power transformer has separate coiled wires for the audio and control circuits, as well as an integrated microprocessor with a stop mode. A user-selectable analog mode allows the amplifier to operate as a purely analog amp by disabling digital inputs as well as Bluetooth. Avoiding high frequency digital influences on the analog selection gives listeners analog sources with uninhibited clarity and musical fidelity.

Direct mechanical sound construction and proprietary Single Level Divided Construction (SLDC) chassis minimise vibration and the effects of the surrounding environment, ensuring only the music is amplified and transmitted. The PMA-600NE features x5 analog inputs, including a MM Phono input with a high-gain EQ circuit, two optical inputs and one coaxial input.

Meanwhile the DCD-600NE CD Player supports CD, CD-R/RW, MP3 and WMA formats. It features AL32 processing technology, and the CD player is outfitted with power transformers near the bottom and immediately above the insulators to prevent vibration. A Pure Direct Mode feeds sound directly to the amplifiers by deactivating the front display, ensuring even cleaner audio.

The company says the circuit design of the CD player ensures signal paths are as short as possible with layered circuit boards and shorter circuits. The result is less interference between left and right channels, while the adverse influences on audio signals are minimised. As a result, the circuit paths of the DCD-600NE reproduce cleaner audio signals faithful to the original recordings.

The PMA-600NE and DCD-600NE are available from September 2019.
