German video door intercom system maker DoorBird announces integration with the myGEKKO home automation platform, allowing costumers to connect various devices together using the myGEKKO interface for a "truly connected" smart home.

Developed by Ekon, the myGEKKO automation system regulates, optimises and controls all components of the smart home environment. It features a graphical UI installers can easily adapt to the needs of home owners and tenants, as well as implement rules and controls without need for complicated programming.

Through the integration, one can configure IP intercom operation via the building automation system. Thus, when a visitor rings the DooBird intercom, residents can see, speak with and grant access to the visitor via myGEKKO Slide indoor station before opening the door or garage door. All features are also available through the DoorBird App on smartphone, tablet or IP indoor station from Bird Home Automation.

In addition, customers can connect the smart door station with the alarm system, lighting and heating directly in the automation system. The DoorBird intercom camera and motion detector also become part of the myGEKKO unified intelligent home environment, making it even more secure.
