BlackWire Designs announces the Guardian Leak Prevention System-- an easy to install means to automatically close the water main the moment a leak is detected, preventing potentially catastrophic water damage.

The Guardian system consists of a Valve Controller, one or more Leak Detectors and optional Remote Sensor Probes. The Valve Controller easily installs over existing quarter-turn water balls without any tools, and features splash-resistant housing. It connects directly to the wifi network, eliminating the need for a hub device, and allows users to monitor and control the system remotely via companion mobile device app, with no monitoring fee required.
For installation flexibility, Leak Detectors sense water using 5 points of detection, and can be located up to 300m away from the Valve Controller. They can be used to monitor toilets, sump pumps, water heaters, sinks, drains and more for leaks and floods. The detectors claim a long average battery life of 15 years. Optional Remote Sensor Probes extend the reach of Leak Detectors to monitor hard-to-reach or tight spaces.
The Guardian Leak Prevention System is available as a kit bundling a Valve Controller with one or three Leak Detectors. Customers can also purchase components individually.
