Optoma announces the UHD50X-- a UHD home theatre projector the company describes as the first to feature a 240Hz refresh rate, allowing it to provide "unrivaled cinematic and gaming experiences."

Aimed at home theatre and gaming enthusiasts, the UHD50X promises detailed, blur-free visuals with vibrant colours. It offers 3400 lumens brightness and a 500000:1 contrast ratio, along with HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid-Log Gamma) compatibility. An Enhanced Gaming Mode, as well as 16ms input lag in 1080p at 240Hz on PC and 25ms at 4K 60Hz on PC and consoles, ensure smooth and immersive gaming.

Connectivity comes through an HDMI 2.0 input with HDCP 2.2. support and a 12V trigger for motorised screen support. Built-in vertical lens shift, keystone correction and 1.3x zoom allow for easy installation in any setting. Lamp life promises to reach up to 15000 hours, at least in Dynamic Black mode.
