  • PDF

The KDS-8 from Kramer Electronics is a zero-latency SDVoE-based (10G) AV-over-IP transceiver for distributing AV signals up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) via ethernet over copper cable with lossless compression.

The transceiver is a fully standard and compliant SDVoE codec, and enables compatibility with other software and hardware streaming platforms. Being a transceiver, the KDS-8 can be set as either an encoder or decoder. As a decoder, it encodes and sends the HDMI input along with IR, RS-232 and analog audio over an IP network.

In decoder mode it receives the encoded signal and decodes it for output. It also includes an unbalanced analog audio port for embedding audio in the signal. Thus, the company says, it is ideal for distributing AV signals in conference rooms, meeting rooms and classrooms.
