Stealth Acoustics shows off the latest addition to the StingRay outdoor speaker family at ISE 2014-- the StingRay 6, a smaller-sized descendant of the StingRay 8 with 38cm width and 10cm depth.
It carries a 6-inch cone woofer (explaining the name) and a neodymium tweeter for a 2-way speaker handling frequencies ranging from 50Hz to 18kHz. Casing construction is in ASA plastic and fibreglass, with no grills or openings to allow surrounding environment inside.
The enclosure features an environmental protection rating of IP-68, meaning it is both water- and dust-proof. Stealth claims the speaker can operate at temperatures ranging from -18 to 65 degrees C, with a waterproof cable pigtail for further protection.
Also seen at the show is the SA2400 dual-channel amplifier. Rated at 450W RMS per channel, it uses Class A/B output stage and a high-current power supply for long-term reliability.
