Savant adds further features and hardware to its IP video and audio distribution systems-- the IP Video platform now comes complete with onboard audio processing, available with either 4 or 8 ports or inputs.
The system automatically extracts 2-channel audio, and down mixes off of most popular surround modes before distribution over the network to any IP Audio device throughout the home.
The company has new single input and output boxes for the IP Video line, making a lower-cost solution for single-source video inputs and outputs for one TV. As a result adding single sources or displays to the distributed video system is easier, and it eliminates the need for costly chassis expansion.
Marketed as a smart switching extender, the 0301 features both manual and automatic switching between any of the connected HDMI, VGA with audio and DisplayPort inputs. The transmitter can be mounted exposed on or under a desk or meeting table for ease of laptop or PC connectivity, with the receiver installed behind a display or above a projector. It can also automatically activate projector screens or room curtains/blinds via dual conditions-based relay trigger.
The EXT-NETAVKIT is a set with x1 HDMI input, x1 local HDMI output with multiple phoenix connectors for audio output, and a LAN port with RS-232 control port for by passing 3rd party devices. Customers can decode IP audio and video up to 100m, with low latency of 1.5 frames per millisecond, with the EXT-NETAVTRX decoder. It is HDCP-compliant, and can be paired with one to one, one to many, or many to many EXT-NETAVTX encoders to create a traditional AV routing matrix scheme.
Powering the 600 series is the standardised SDVoE hardware/software platform. The technology provides scalable delivery of "zero" latency switching of 4K/60Hz and HDR using RGB or YUV, together with audio, control, scaling, processing, encoding and encryption, all over 100Gb IP network. 4K video support reaches up to 4096x2160 60Hz at 4:4:4 8bit or 4:2:2 12bit HDR-10 over both HDMI and DisplayPort. Dolby Vision support should be added by the end of the year.
The software also shares information with the Luxul support team for swift and easy troubleshooting, and eliminates the need to purchase a separate Luxul Domotz Pro for remote management. The result is lower network costs and speedier setup, improving the bottom line for integrators while providing customers with a better experience.
The Orbi is positioned as a replacement for existing cable modems and routers. It promises mesh wifi coverage reaching up to 370 square metres, with Orbi satellites expanding coverage by a further 185 square metres per satellite. It is compatible with all major cable ISPs, and should work right out of the box.
The HDR-H2H-88MA handles 4K/UHD video at 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and HDMI data rates up to 18Gbps (10-bit colour). Stereo, unbalanced audio outputs are paired with each HDMI input, enabling two-channel PCM audio to be de-embedded and set to whole-house or commercial audio systems.
