Just Add Power (J+P) showcases its 3G Ultra HD over IP transmitter and receiver range at InfoComm 2017, with products designed for any size UHD distribution and matrixing application.

The range offers a variety of devices enabling installers to mix and match models to better manage hardware budgets over 4K HDMI projects, including 4K HDR distribution.

"The 3G Ultra HD over IP family uses the same switches, cabling, and control system drivers, while offering a range of features and performance that allow integrators to build upon their existing systems-- much like they would with building blocks," the company says. "As demand for 4K signal distribution increases, integrators can update and integrate new J+P devices into existing systems and overcome the difficulty of distributing 4K in installations that combine new 4K displays and legacy 1080p sources."

The Asus Blue Cave is an AC2600 dual-band wifi router unlike any other-- the design features a antenna-less design with a hole in the middle, making it look like a Dyson bladeless fan.

First presented at Computex 2017, the Blue Cave promises "smooth wifi" and "smart protection." It runs on the latest Intel wifi chipset, and includes Trend Micro protection for "every connected smart devices on the network, including IoT devices." A companion app provides granular control (such as network usage, family time limits and app internet access) while IFTTT support provides means for users to create formulas to run their smart homes and digital lives.

WyreStorm announces Luxul is the latest networking equipment maker to add support for its NetworkHD AV over IP system, reflecting the rapid growth of the networking platform.

Luxul switches with NetworkHD support include the AMS-2624P, AMS-1208P and AMS-4424P models-- all part of the Luxul AV Series  purpose-built for use with AV equipment. The switches feature rear panel ports and front-facing LEDs for clean integration with AV rack systems, and offer user-selectable blue/green LEDs for consistency with other rack mount equipment. Also supported is the XMS-2624P, a traditional front-facing port alternative.

RTI starts shipping the AD-16x-- a long-awaited 16x16 audio matrix switcher designed for large multi-zone installations first announced back at CEDIA Expo 2013.

The AD-16x provides routing for 16 audio sources across 16 zones, with RTI Cool Power amplifiers (CP-450/CP-1650) driving each speaker. It also features 8 remote source inputs, allowing devices located in other rooms to act as global sources.

WyreStorm announces the H2L Series-- Class B HDBaseT additions to its matrix switcher line, available in 6x6 and 8x8 models able to switch between 2K and 4K UHD video sources (30Hz 4:2:0).

The matrix switchers handle HDR, HDCP 2.2 and multi-channel audio up to DTS:X and Dolby Atmos, and installers can send out the HDBaseT outputs up to 35m for 4K and 70m for 1080p.
