Savant Updates Multiple Product Lines

Savant announces the addition of new products and features included in the 8.7 software and hardware update, one complete with TrueImage for Savant Pro, coloured lighting and IP Video products.

Savant TrueImageThe Savant Pro 8 app on the iOS App Store now includes support for TrueImage, the system leveraging on Savant virtual lighting concept to allow users to experience virtual lights in any room on their mobile devices. Users can easily change dimming levels and RGB colours by tapping the virtual light. Installers or users simply need to photograph the light using the mobile device, press the button and TrueImage takes care of the rest. Speaking of TrueImage, Savant has a new line of coloured smart bulbs and LED light strips compatible with the Savant 8 app.

New Show Initiatives at ISE 2018

Integrated Systems Europe 2018 will premier a range of new show initiatives to make the 15th edition of the world’s largest AV and systems integration show the most compelling so far.

The move has come as the show organisers Integrated Systems Events and its association co-owners AVIXA and CEDIA, focus on adding ever more value to the ISE experience.

Some of the ISE 2018 debuts include:

Launching on the day before ISE 2018 opens its doors, the TIDE (Technology. Innovation. Design. Experience.) conference, produced by AVIXA, is a one day event, which will take place at the Okura Hotel, a few minutes’ walk from the RAI Amsterdam. TIDE will explore the creative forces and business decisions shaping the AV industry and how businesses can leverage these concepts. The TIDE conference will focus on Design Thinking for Business. The conference programme will be applicable to all design professionals, end customers and AV channel delegates.

HDMI 2.1 Specification Gets Release

The HDMI Forum announces version 2.1 of the HDMI specification-- an update promising support for a range of higher video resolutions and refresh rates, including 8K60 and 4K120.

HDMI Version 2.1 handles resolutions up to 10K, together with dynamic HDR formats. Bandwidth capability is increased to 48Gbps through a Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable able to handle uncompressed 8K video with HDR with exceptionally low EMI (electro-magnetic interference) and backwards compatibility with existing HDMI devices.
