Optoma Presents High Brightness Gaming and Entertainment Projectors

Optoma launches three projectors designed for "fast-action gaming and live action entertainment"-- the GT1090HDR and HZ39HDR, the first laser gaming and entertainment projectors from the company, and the HD28HDR.

The GT1090HDR offers 4200 lumens brightness with 300000:1 contrast ratio and 0.50:1 short throw ratio. It features "powerful" 4K input, HDR10 and Hybrid-Log Gamma (HLG) colour compatibility, with a DuraCore laser light source promising up to 30000 hours of maintenance-free operation in Eco mode. Built-in auto keystone and four corner correction provide flexible adjustments, while connectivity includes HDMI 2.0 and VGA along with a built-in 10W speaker.

dnp Supernova Infinity Gets Unlimited ALR Option

ISE 2020 sees dnp announce the Supernova Infinity, a modular screen system able to create screen images of any size, can be made in any size with ambient light rejection (ALR) projection screen material.

Previously the ALR material was limited to 120-inch screen sizes.

The Supernova Infinity UST is a modular screen system creating screen images of any size. It provide a zero physical seam viewing experience, with multiple projectors used to create bigger images with visible overlap. The displays are made of tiled panels up to 1.5m in height, and offer seamless viewing experiences with only 0.3mm joint lines.

BenQ Claims First 4K HDR-PRO Projector

BenQ announces the TK850, a projector aimed at entertainment and sports enthusiasts with "true" 4K UHD DLP projection, exclusive HDR-PRO technology and a specialised Sports mode.

According to the company, the TK850 takes full advantage of 4K HDR broadcasts (namely HLG), as well as 4K streaming content to deliver "breathtaking realism." Projection resolution clocks at 8.3 pixels at 3840 x 2160, while HDR-PRO technology uses dynamic iris control and HDR brightness for enhanced tone mapping. Brightness reaches up to 3000 lumens, with durable Digital Light Processing promising long-lasting picture quality, making the TK850 ideal even for brightly-lit living rooms.

Screen Innovations (SI) launches a re-engineering of the Solo projection screen family-- now up to 3.5m wide in AC, DC and wireless lithium rechargeable options.

One of the signature features of the new SI Solo 2 motorised cassette is a decorator-friendly design. Cassette sizes start at 90m in depth and height, making them 17% smaller than the original. The Solo 2 also employs a longer-lasting rechargeable lithium-powered motor. The battery lasts for up to 2 years on a single charge and, in case of recharging, users do not need to pull out a ladder to reach and disassemble the motor casing.
