Control4 names the winners of the 2012 EMEA Dealer-Distributor Awards during an ISE 2013 event, with awards for business practices, superior services, technical support and sales volume.

Further awards cover the lighting, multi-room audio, security, climate and retrofit categories.

Control4 Turkey receives the 2012 EMEA Distributor of the Year award, New Wave AV is best 2012 UK Dealer and Egypt's Gimpex Automation Solution is honoured for Best Distributor Showroom.

CEDIA Region 1 announces a landmark British location for its annual Awards ceremony-- The Pavilion at the Tower of London on 28 June 2013.

The Awards should host over 300 guests, with the black-tie ceremony taking place in an exclusive marquee within the North Moat.

"The CEDIA Awards are a celebration of the residential custom installation industry and the event provides members with a fitting platform on which to showcase their expertise and achievements." CEDIA Region 1 executive director Wendy Griffiths says. "Following on from the sellout event of 2012 we want the 2013 Awards to continue the momentum and remain a worthy celebration of our industry."

Previous CEDIA Awards have taken place at Hampton Court Palace, One Mayfair, the Globe Theatre, The Brewery and Vinopolis.

Built by William the Conqueror in 1078, the Tower of London has played many roles aside from hosting the CEDIA Awards-- including place of execution, armory, prison, public records office and a zoo. It is also the oldest royal castle in Europe.

New wireless solutions were previewed to visitors at ISE in Amsterdam as Peerless-AV announced the formation of the Peerless-AV Technology Division dedicated to advanced digital content delivery solutions for the commercial and residential markets.

The new division will focus on the company’s technology portfolio, to cover new areas such as wireless connectivity, wireless broadcast, digital audio and touch products, to provide a comprehensive catalogue of digital content delivery tools for AV dealers, distributors, integrators and installers.

A selection of these new products was shown by Peerless-AV for the first time in Europe at ISE last week. This included the HD Flow Pro Wireless Multimedia Kit, a device allowing Full HD 1080p video and passive 3D signals to be streamed up to 40m to HDTVs, projectors or other displays without cabling and the PeerAir Wireless HD Multimedia System, an HDMI interface-based plug-and-play wireless content streaming system for home entertainment, corporate, education and training applications.

The race for space at ISE 2014 has already begun with the on-site exhibitor rebooking process for ISE 2014. More than 500 companies have for 2014 already reserved more than 30,000 sq. m—that’s nearly 93% of the show’s 2013 footprint.

Many of the companies committing themselves to larger stands for 2014 are smaller to medium-sized exhibitors who are relatively new to ISE.

“What we clearly see emerging now at ISE is a fresh wave of exhibitors that are building their businesses on the back of their ability to inspire new connections, greater collaboration and, perhaps above all, wonderful content,” notes Mike Blackman, MD of Integrated Systems Events.
