SUPRA HF100 MET-B

How cool is it to have HDMI cable with removable die-cast connector shells that allow the cable to be pulled through conduits for install. There's even a protective braid (to pull the cable in a conduit) that comes free in the pack.

Jenving Technology's SUPRA HF100 MET-B High-Speed HDMI cables have a new removable housing, that allows installers to remove the bulky outer shell, leaving just the inner connector, which is factory terminated to the cable.

The new cables feature a Supra innovation: removable HDMI bodies, which have TWO basic functions:

1) When the HDMI body is removed, (via two small screws) it allows the cable to be passed through small conduits, which aids installations.

2) The HDMI body is available in TWO shapes - the straight version and the curved version - so the cable can be dressed at the back of the equipment, which then puts less stress on both the cable and the HDMI socket….

The cables are fitted as standard with 2 straight HDMI bodies, but in the pack is both a shaped body (as well as some strong nylon braid).

These High Speed (Category 2) HDMI cables have been tested to perform at speeds of 340Mhz or up to 10.2Gbps and can successfully handle1080p signals including those at increased colour depths and/or increased refresh rates from the source.

SCP's HDMI Extender

SCP 948
At InfoComm, we saw the SCP 948 HDMI extender that uses CAT-5E/6 cable as transmission media.

The 948 offers solutions for digital entertainment center, HDTV retail and show site, HDTV, STB, DVD and projector factory, noise, space and security concerns, data center control, information distribution, conference room, presentation, school and corporate training environments.

Benefits from using HDMI EXTENDER SCP-948:

1) The length of HDMI cable is fixed and unchangeable after it is produced. Because the HDMI connector can only be soldered or terminated by professional worker in factory, the users cannot reduce or increase cable length. However CAT-5E/6 cables are available everywhere and be processed easily by user or installer.

2) By using SCP-948 the transmission distance for 1080P reaches 50 meters, 60 meters for 1080I. For general HDMI cables, cables must be customized when the length is over 10 meters.

3) HDMI EXTENDER 948 has the ability of buffering and amplifying. Series connection of SCP-948 achieves long distance transmission of HDMI signal. When two pairs or more SCP-948 are stacked together, they can be used to create a larger distribution(daisy chained.)

The Master of the (Accessories) Universe

Noel LeeThe Master of Accessories was next to me, standing on the ultimate accessory, a Segway, further emboldened by a red Porsche logo.

Noel Lee, president and CEO of Monster Cable, doesn’t need a Porsche Segway to highlight his status. After all, Noel invented the category of cable accessories for audio. He needs the Segway for transportation because of a medical condition. And the Porsche logo serves to warn you that this is a man in motion,  a man moving in High Gear down the autobahn of life.

MIT Cables One Wire

  • PDF
Sure MIT Cables One Wire install system is easy and quick to use (no soldering is required) but the bigger sales point is MIT's patented Network Modules that give a wider bandwidth of frequency through the cable and allowsfor very long cable runs with almost no signal loss.

If that doesn't catch your interest, then maybe we should mention MIT Founder Bruce Brisson began designing audio cables in the 1970's ad in the 1980s he licensed his "Bandwidth Balanced" technology to Monster Cable. Later he also licensed other phase correct, or time coherent designs to Monster, which have become some of Monster Cable's most enduring and successful products. Ha! Got your attention now…
